As December enveloped Pune in its festive glow, Kumar Pacific Mall became the center of
holiday cheer and celebration as the students of BodhiTree School of Music took to the stage for their end-of-the-year recital. It was an evening filled with heartfelt performances, festive spirit, and the sheer magic of music. The mall’s holiday decor—twinkling fairy lights and cheerful Christmas banners—added an extra layer of charm, making the event feel like a scene straight out of a winter wonderland.
The evening began with an air of quiet anticipation as families, friends and curious onlookers
gathered. The students, ready to share the fruits of their year-long dedication, transformed the stage into a space of joy and creativity. Mishika opened the night with a soulful rendition of Rolling in the Deep, her performance bold and captivating, setting the perfect tone for what was to come. The crowd was instantly drawn in, swaying to the rhythm and soaking in the energy of her voice.

Shrija brought an emotional depth to the evening with her performance of Far From the Home I Love from Fiddler on the Roof. Her voice carried the wistful longing of the song, resonating deeply with the audience and drawing heartfelt applause. Tejas followed with the evocative Interstellar theme, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that seemed to transport everyone to another world. The air was filled with awe as the mall seemed to fade into the background , leaving only the music.
The energy shifted with Reyansh’s lively take on Shape of You, which had the crowd tapping
their feet and nodding along to its familiar, catchy beat. Vian added a nostalgic charm to the
evening with Ajeeb Dastan Hai Ye, a Bollywood classic that seemed to strike a chord with every listener, young and old alike.
Midway through the recital, Tapas delivered a show-stealing performance of November Rain.
With passion and precision, he brought the iconic piece to life, leaving the audience cheering and energized. It was the kind of performance that stayed with you long after the final note, a true highlight of the evening that lit up the stage and set a high bar for everything that followed.
As the night unfolded, Apolline charmed the audience with her rendition of When You Wish
Upon a Star, bringing a touch of Disney magic to the recital. Ishita’s performance of River Flows in You was serene and soulful, captivating the audience with its gentle beauty. Priyal added a delicate touch with Music Box, a performance that felt like opening a little treasure trove of melodies. Each piece was unique, yet together they created a tapestry of emotions that kept the audience enthralled.
The grand finale, however, was a surprise performance by a parent, who took the stage to sing Kaisi Paheli Zindagi. Her voice was smooth and melodious, evoking smiles and admiration from the audience. It was a perfect way to bring the recital to a close, a reminder of how music transcends boundaries and creates bonds. Her performance left everyone swaying and singing along, bringing the evening to a wholesome, unforgettable end.
